Neo-Nazi Sentenced to 3 Years for Role in Murder of Jake Kelly

Phoenix LGBTQ+ Community Shows Up in Support of Kelly

On Tuesday, January 7, 2025 Cory Scott Daryld Young was sentenced to 3 and 1/2 years for his role in the murder of Jake Kelly, a gay man from Phoenix. Young was unremorseful and said very little in court as he was sentenced for hindering the prosecution after he and his wife/co-defendant helped to cover up Kelly’s brutal assault. I go over the details of today’s hearing, Cory Young’s extensive criminal history and his neo-Nazi affiliations.

Click here to listen to the last episode, where I cover more extensive details of the case, the key people to know, and how severely the Phoenix Police fucked up — from lying to the victim’s mother to ignoring significant evidence and leads.

I also cover how today’s hearing brought together members of the LGBTQ+ community, who came out in support of Jan Kelly, Jake Kelly’s mother. For over a year, Jan has stood mostly-alone as she’s taken on those who killed her son. She’s faced intimidation tactics from both Young and his neo-Nazi buddies who have come out in support of him and his wife/co-defendant.
